Twice a year, in March and September, we take on new artists: direction, set and costume design, music, video and choreography. Every application gets an answer.

What we need

  • A portfolio with five to ten projects
  • Photos or recordings, each with venue, year and team
  • A short CV with training and assistant work
  • A few sentences about where you want to go

How it works

  1. Send your portfolio

    By email to bewerbung@stagerepublic.de, as a single PDF with links to recordings. Please do not send anything by post.

  2. Review as a team

    We look at every portfolio together and, where possible, see a piece of work live.

  3. Getting to know each other

    If we can imagine working together, we will invite you for a conversation, perhaps after a performance.

  4. Decision

    You will hear from us no later than six weeks after the period closes, even if the answer is short.

FAQ

Yes, as long as there is already work of your own. Assistant work counts too, but what tells us most is a production, a space or a composition of your own.

Five to ten projects with photos or recordings, each with venue, year and team, plus a short CV. Please send it as a single PDF of up to 20 MB, with videos as links.

There are no joining or administration fees. We receive a commission on engagements we arrange, and only once you have been paid.

Yes. Our artists work in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, some also in the Netherlands and Scandinavia.

Yes. We are happy to take over existing contracts and options in agreement with your current agency.

Usually four to six weeks after the application period closes. We look at every portfolio together as a team.
